CMS Announces Additional 3 Years to Comply with HCBS Regulations

CMS released an informational bulletin noting that states will have an additional three years (until 2022) to comply with the settings requirements of the HCBS regulations. CMS notes that states must still work to gain approval for their Statewide Transition Plans by 2019, but that additional time is being provided to achieve compliance in recognition of the complex work necessary.
