Connecticut Launching Housing Innovation Pilot

Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is launching the Housing Innovation Pilot project, to begin in Fiscal Year 2019. The purpose of the pilot project is to establish and evaluate alternative service models in which individuals who are currently receiving residential services may move from their existing residential settings, with the consent of the individual or such individual’s legal representative, to a more independent, less restrictive residential setting.

DDS will be selecting up to three providers to participate in the pilot program, based upon a review of application materials. Successful applicants will demonstrate a thoughtful, innovative, and person-centered plan for each individual involved in the proposed pilot program. Selected providers will be expected to participate in regular pilot reporting, targeted program evaluation, data sharing, and routine quality monitoring and improvement practices.
