OCR and Connecticut Agree on Hospital Visitation Policies for People with Disabilities
The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced an Early Case Resolution (ECR) with the State of Connecticut after the state issued an executive order regarding non-visitation policies for short-term hospitals, outpatient clinics, and outpatient surgical facilities to ensure that people with disabilities are not denied reasonable access to needed support persons.

HRSA Announces Provider Relief Fund Payments Targeted at Medicaid Providers
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced that it will distribute approximately $15 billion from the Provider Relief Fund to eligible providers that participate in state Medicaid and CHIP programs. Examples of providers serving Medicaid/CHIP beneficiaries possibly eligible for this funding, include pediatricians, obstetrician-gynecologists, dentists, opioid treatment and behavioral health providers, assisted living facilities, and other home and community-based services providers.

Wisconsin DHS Awards $1.2 Million to Local Programs to Support Innovation
Per a recent press release, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) will award $1.2 million in grants to 15 local county Birth to 3 Programs across the state that will pilot new and innovative efforts to improve outcomes for participating children.
